I am Petra Bonny and I live in one of the most beautiful city's of Belgium, Bruges. My passion for bearded collie's started in '95 when I saw the first beardie of my life, and I was hopelessly in love. I've bought my first bitch in '99. She was a black and white bitch: No-Nonsense's Yanaïca, born on the 29th of April. She's a daughter of Queens Jewel Joey of Primbardom who is, sadely enough, already past away, to young, to soon. He will always be on my mind, because he have me my first born.  Her mother is No-Nonsense's Ujjain.Yanaïca is a special, very clever and easy going bitch, who loves to cuddle all day long. She had done her share of showing in the ring and did very well in Puppy and Junior class, but unfortunatly, she could not compete later on in open class, because she is a very big girl, with very thick bones, a head and theeth of a boy, and she wasn't elegant enough for the showring. Thanks to Geert Hoebeeck were she was born and who took care of her the first 8 weeks of her live. With Yanaïca, I started in the world of dogshows and I loved it ever sinds.
Then we have our Yquem. She's a extraordenary bitch. A little brown girl with a lot of girlpower. She is the barking one in the house, and she has the temprement of a working bearded collie. Always busy hirding the other 2 dogs, me and Alain. Never happy when we are sepperated. She is the daughter of Am. Ch. Brittania Here Comes The Son and No-Nonsense's Ursamajor, who also passed away at the age of 9, by sickness. Ursa, you were a amazing mother, we will never forget you! Because of you we fell in love with the brown version of the breed. Yquem is born the 1st of June '99, at the Kennel Delightful Bears, at the home of breeders An en francois Vanhecke, who are also very active in the Bearded Collie Club of Belgium. Yquem is a adorable girl, but not the easyest one. Her first 3 years of her live were very intens for us, to make sure that she behaved herself and learne to controle herself. She has a very big 'will to please', that made it  impossible for her to do well. She completly flipt out, when she was ask to do something at the lessons obiedence, because she was afraid to do anything wrong. She started barking for a hour, and was knocked out for a few hours when the lesson was finished. With the help of a specialist, we were able to get her back on the right track, but we had to stop with obedience. She is a happy girl now. She also competed in the ring at beautycompetitions, and had exellent rapports, but she didn't like it at all. She's only 48 cm, so a little bit to short, but very well build. And she moves superb. She had an operation at her shoulder when she was 4 years old. She had dislocated her shoulder while playing in the garden, and we only find out about it a year later. Because of her hard personality, she never showed any pain, untill she had an infection. Luckely she had that infection, otherwise she wouldn't be alive anymore. The vetenary told us if she would had run with that shoulder for another year it would have been to late to operate. She had a capsule shrunking and needed 4 months of intens training, including Aquatherapy, to her back on her feed, but she is doing fine so far. It also changed her caracter for the best. She had to rely on me during those months, to eat, to go outside, to nurse her and it gave her more faith in me during the rehab, and that gave her more confidience in me and herself for the best.
We hope that it stay's like this and
we will have them for some more years in good health.
